The briefing was delivered by Puan Siti Fatimah binti Abdul Ghani, Head of Intervention Services Section, Registrar's Office, UPM from 9:00 am - 10:30 pm.
In the briefing, Mrs. Siti Fatimah explained that UPM has implemented Service Circular No. 7 years of implementation of the Separation Policy (Exit Policy) in 2015 for all permanent staff at UPM. Definition of Exit Policy is a Policy to terminate the service and retire low performing officers from the service. While low performance refers to staff who get an annual performance evaluation of less than 60%.
The rationale behind the implementation of this Policy is to maintain committed and high-performing officers, increase competitiveness in the face of current and future environmental challenges, and create a high-performing and integrity Statutory Body Service.
Also present was Dr Mohd Faiq Abd Aziz, Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation and Funding) who said, "Hopefully this briefing can provide an introduction to the Implementation of the Exit Policy as a mandatory process throughout serving at UPM in order to retain committed officers and high performance".
