Profesor Madya Dr. Rosini binti Abu memegang ijazah doktor falsafah pendidikan dalam bidang Pendidikan Pekerjaan dari North Carolina State university, USA pada tahun 1993. Beliau dilantik sebagai pensyarah di Universiti Putra Malaysia pada tahun 1982. Beliau terlibat dalam mengajar kursus-kursus persediaan pakaian, kemahiran berfikir, kaedah dan pedagogi di peringkat ijazah sarjana muda dan ijazah sarjana. Bidang penyeldidikan yang menjadi tumpuan beliau adalah aspek pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam ekonomi rumahtangga, pembelajaran koperatif dan persediaan guru. Beliau banyak membuat khidmat perundingan dengan pihak Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia dan Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia dalam aktiviti penggubalan kurikulum matapelajaran ekonomi rumahtangga, pembentukan instrument pentaksiran dan mengjadi penilai modul dan buku teks dalam bidang ekonomi rumahtangga. Beliau menyertai beberapa persatuan dalam bidang ekonomi rumahtangga dan pendidikan vokasional.

Associate Professor Dr. Rosini binti Abu holds her Doctoral of Education degree in Occupational Education from the North Carolina State University, USA in 1993. She was appointed as a lecturer with Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1982. She is involved in teaching courses such as teaching methods and pedagogy, clothing preparation and thinking skills, at the bachelor and masters level. Her research activities focus on teaching and learning in home economics, cooperative learning and teacher preparation. She involved in several consultancy works such as development of home economics curriculum, development assessment instrument, appointed as panel evaluator for the module and textbooks in home economics with the Ministry of Education and the Malaysian Examination Syndicate. She is currently a member in several associations in home economics and vocational education.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Teaching learning in Home Economics, Cooperative learning, generic skills/soft skills/ work skills/critical thinking skills.  Teaching learning effectiveness.
