Dr. Mohd Sahandri Gani Hamzah adalah Profesor Madya di Jabatan Asas Pendidikan, Fakulti Pengajian Pendidikan, Universiti Putra Malaysia sejak September 2006. Beliau berpendidikan Ijazah Pendidikan Sains Pertanian daripada UPM (1981), Sarjana Pendidikan (Pengajian, Penyeliaan dan Pengukuran, 1995) dan Doktor Falsafah (Penyelidikan dan Penilaian Amalan Pendidikan, 1998) daripada Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Beliau menamatkan  Ijazah Sarjana dan kedoktoran dengan cemerlang dan mengambil masa hanya empat tahun.

Dr. Mohd Sahandri Gani pernah bertugas sebagai Guru Penolong, Jemaah Nazir Sekolah Persekutuan, Pensyarah Maktab Perguruan, Penolong Pengarah Pusat Sumber Pendidikan Negeri, Penolong Pengarah (Dasar) Bahagian Perancangan dan Penyelidikan Dasar Pendidikan (KPM) , Ketua Penolong Pengarah BPPDP (KPM) dan Ketua Unit Dasar Bahagian Sekolah (KPM). Beliau pernah juga bertugas sebagai pensyarah sambilan di UPM Terengganu dan Kolej Darul Naim.

Dari segi penyelidikan dasar pendidikan, beliau mengetuai projek penyelidikan dasar KPM yang berjaya menghasilkan kertas dasar pendidikan wajib, penstrukturan semula Bahagian dan KPM, Penstrukturan Semula Bahagian Sekolah, JPN, PPD.

Dr. Mohd Sahandri juga aktif dalam bidang penulisan ilmiah. Beliau telah membentang dan menerbitkan  penulisan ilimah dalam bentuk kertas kerja persidangan, prosiding, buku, modul, jurnal, pekeliling KPM dan penulis teks ucapan bagi Ketua Pengarah Pelajaran Malaysia (2003-2006). Pengalaman di Bahagian Sekolah KPM, beliau menerajui perlaksanaan MS ISO yang mempunyai rangkaian ke atas semua JPN dan PPD di seluruh Negara. Di samping itu, semenjak tahun 1998 hingga kini beliau masih kekal sebagai Ahli Jawatankuasa Persatuan Teknologi Pendidikan Malaysia dan telah mengetuai beberapa portfolio dalam persatuan tersebut.

Selain itu, beliau merupakan pakar rujuk penyelidikan dan penilaian program kepada POLISAS, Bahagian Matrikulasi. Dalam tempoh satu setengah tahun, beliau juga telah berjaya menyiapkan 2 kajian dasar yang bertajuk

  • Kajian Keberkesanan Kos Makanan Rancangan Makanan Tambahan (RMT) Sekolah Rendah

  • Kajian Tahap Motivasi Staf Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan dan Rangkaian. Kedua-dua kajian ini menelan belanja sebanyak RM600,000. perlaksanaan Kursus Penilaian Tahap Kecekapan (PTK) pegawai-pegawai MARA seluruh Negara, yang menelan belanja sebanyak RM400,000. Tugas ini disambung sehingga kini sebagai Projek Latihan di bawah pentadbiran Fakulti Pengajian Pendidikan UPM.

 

Dr. Mohd Sahandri Gani Hamzah, professor of Education Department, Faculty of Educational Studies at University Putra Malaysia since September 2006. Educated in Bachelor in Education of Agriculture Science from UPM (1981), Master of Education in (Measurement an Evaluation Study, 1995) and Finished is Philosophy Doctorate (Research and Evaluation of Educational Practices, 1998) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia. He completed his Master and PHD with flying colors in only four years.

          Dr. Mohd.Sahandri deliberately chosen position of being a teacher, school Inspectorate, Lecture in teacher college, Assistant Director of State Educational Resource  Center, Assistant Director (Policy Unit) in Educational Planning and Research Policy Division,  Ministry of Education (MOE), Principal of  Assistant Director Educational Planning and Research Policy Division,  MOE and Head of  Policy Unit in school Division (MOE). He also experienced as temporary lecture in University Putra Malaysia Terengganu and Darul Naim University College.

Due to measurement of education foundation, he conducted many program under (KPM) which he succeeded in core education foundation paper such as Compulsory Education, Excellent teacher, segregation, restructuring Department and Ministry of Education, Restructuring School Division, State Education Department and District Education Department.

Dr. Mohd.Sahandri also involved actively in Journal writing. He has presented and published his journal in many Journal website local and internationally, in the form of seminar papers, proceeding, books, module and journals. Dr. Sahandri also a writer for (KPM) in curricular letter. A part from that he also a text writer for the Director of Education Ministry from (2003-2006). Well experienced in (MOE) School Division, he conducted MS ISO implementation to all State and District Education Department around the country. Since 1998 until now he is still remains as a committee member of Malaysian Educational Technology Society and led a few portfolios in the society.

He also has been an advisor of research and evaluation programs for POLISAS and Matriculation Division, Ministry of Education. Within 18 months he managed to complete two foundations research entitled such as (1) Cost effectiveness of food through a special food programs (RMT) for primary school, and (2) Motivational status of Educational Technology Division staff and networking. Both research cost about RM600 000.00. In the same year, he conducted a course on assessment of Efficiency Level to all MARA officer grade DG44, DG48 and DG54 throughout the country that involved expenditure about RM400 000.00. These programs carry out continuously until now as training program under the supervision of the Educational Studies Faculty, University Putra Malaysia.
